- No Tumaini fee figures could be verified — contact vc@makumira.ac.tz or +255 753 325 823. If you are a Lutheran church member, ask about denominational sponsorship, particularly for theology: the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania runs a large health and education network and is the natural sponsor here. Add the TZS 20,000 annual TCU quality assurance fee, and note HESLB is a separate OLAMS application. Arusha living costs are moderate by Tanzanian standards — above rural areas, below Dar es Salaam.
Admissions
- UNDERSTAND TUMAINI'S DUAL ROLE BEFORE APPLYING. It teaches its own students at Makumira AND confers the degrees of Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College in Moshi, one of Tanzania's two major private medical schools. If you are applying to KCMUCo, Tumaini's name goes on your certificate — so its standing matters to you even if you never set foot on the Makumira campus.
- DIRECT ENTRY: two ACSEE principal passes at E or above totalling 4.0 points. The Ordinary Diploma equivalent-entry route also applies.
- If you are not Lutheran, ask whether you would be admitted — this was not established.
- Apply DIRECTLY to the university; Tanzania has no central placement body.
- Accepts international applicants
