- No Scott fee figures could be verified — contact info@scott.ac.ke, admissions@scott.ac.ke or +254 713 745 404. THE FUNDING ROUTE MOST LIKELY TO MATTER HERE IS CHURCH SPONSORSHIP: Scott is the NATIONAL THEOLOGICAL COLLEGE of the Africa Inland Church, so if you are entering AIC ministry ask about denominational support before anything else — it is the most probable and least advertised route. Mission agency sponsorship is also plausible if you are coming from elsewhere in East or Central Africa. As a private university Scott accesses HELB loans only, not Universities Fund scholarships. TWO LOWER-COST ENTRY POINTS EXIST: Scott runs TVET provision and certificate-level programmes, both cheaper than a full degree, so a degree is not the only way in. Machakos living costs are well below Nairobi at roughly 60km distance.
Admissions
- The national minimum for degree entry is a KCSE mean grade of C+. Scott's current requirements were not published — contact admissions@scott.ac.ke.
- IF YOU INTEND TO SERVE OUTSIDE KENYA, SCOTT HAS AN ADVANTAGE WORTH UNDERSTANDING: it holds DUAL ACCREDITATION — a Kenyan government charter from 21 November 1997 AND a 1979 charter from the Accrediting Council of Theological Education in Africa. ACTEA recognition is accepted across African evangelical theological education, making a Scott theology qualification more portable regionally than a purely Kenyan-accredited one. That matters directly if you are applying from Rwanda, Uganda or Tanzania.
- IF APPLYING FOR AN EDUCATION PROGRAMME: ask for written confirmation of Teachers Service Commission recognition, without which you cannot be employed as a teacher in Kenya.
- Entry runs from certificate through doctorate, so there is a route in at most levels of prior qualification.
- Accepts international applicants
