Tuition
- No Maasai Mara fee figures could be verified, though it appears in a January 2026 listing of Kenyan universities offering courses from as little as KSh 5,000 per semester. Request the current structure from info@mmarau.ac.ke or +254 20 5131400. ONE COST TO ASK ABOUT SPECIFICALLY: tourism programmes involve field trips to reserves, lodges and hospitality establishments, and those are rarely covered by tuition — establish what is included and what you pay for separately, because at this university fieldwork is central rather than incidental. As a public university its students access both Universities Fund scholarships and HELB loans; apply at hef.co.ke once KUCCPS places you. Narok living costs are well below Nairobi, and for students from Narok County and the wider Maasai community the university removes the need to relocate — which matters in a region where higher education participation has historically been low.
Admissions
- The national minimum for degree entry is a KCSE mean grade of C+, with programme-specific cluster requirements set by KUCCPS.
- Maasai Mara's own entry requirements were not published — contact info@mmarau.ac.ke before ranking your choices.
- If applying for tourism, ask how the two tourism degrees differ: it offers both a Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management and a Bachelor of Tourism Management, and the distinction is not published.
- Accepts international applicants
