Dipl.-Ing. Ephrem MUSONERA is the Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Academics, Research and Institutional Advancement (DVC ARIA) at Rwanda Polytechnic since October 2023. Prior to that, he served as Principal of Integrated Polytechnic Regional College (IPRC) Ngoma since September 2014 and Deputy principal in charge of Academics and Training at the same college since November 2012. Before joining the Academic leadership, Dipl.-Ing. Ephrem served as Head of Technical department at STRABAG GmbH/ Rwanda. He holds a Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern/ Germany with specialization in Structural Engineering.

Tuition

• YOUR SPONSORSHIP ROUTE CHANGES THE COST BY ROUGHLY THREE TIMES. Government-sponsored students pay approximately RWF 300,000 per year; self-sponsored students pay roughly RWF 600,000 to 850,000. Establishing whether you qualify for government sponsorship is the most financially consequential question you can ask here — the same split applies across Rwanda Polytechnic colleges including IPRC Musanze. Government bursaries and loans available via REB and BRD.

Admissions

• ENTRY: secondary education certificate (A2) with TWO PRINCIPAL PASSES in relevant science or technical fields.
• Provision is at DIPLOMA / A1 LEVEL rather than degree level. Ask about progression routes onward within Rwanda Polytechnic.
• Apply through the Rwanda Polytechnic portal at mis.rp.ac.rw/student/signup, not directly to the college.
• ASK WHETHER YOU QUALIFY FOR GOVERNMENT SPONSORSHIP FIRST — it is the difference between roughly RWF 300,000 and up to RWF 850,000 a year.
