Tuition
- Tuition is payable at the beginning of each semester. AUCA publishes a fee structure page covering tuition, facility, graduation and application fees. Application fee: 30,000 RWF for Rwandan undergraduates, USD 50 for international undergraduates, 50,000 RWF for graduate applicants. Approximately RWF 600,000-900,000 per year. TWO WAYS TO REDUCE THAT: Adventist Church member discounts, and a STUDENT WORK-STUDY PROGRAMME across the library, IT and maintenance departments — earning while studying is uncommon in this directory and worth asking about. Hosts international students from across Central and East Africa.
Admissions
- Certified Diploma or Certificate plus S4, S5 and S6 reports or transcripts.
- Graduate applicants must submit two certified copies of official transcripts from each institution attended, certified by the institution or a Commissioner of Oath.
- All students are encouraged to have a laptop to support the blended learning process.
- NURSING AND MIDWIFERY (taught at the Ngoma campus, formally named Ngoma Adventist College of Health Sciences / NACHS): entry requires at least grade C in Biology and Chemistry plus grade D in Mathematics or Physics, from an MCB or PCB combination. Rwandan nursing and midwifery qualifications also require recognition by the National Council of Nurses and Midwives (NCNM) alongside HEC accreditation — ask AUCA to confirm NCNM recognition in writing, and confirm whether NACHS holds any accreditation in its own right or operates wholly under AUCA, since that determines which name appears on your certificate. Note the Ngoma campus is in the EASTERN Province; the UNESCO WHED database places it in the Western Province, which is an error.
