Tuition
- No Kabianga fee figures could be verified — request the current structure from info@kabianga.ac.ke or +254 715 655 949. For scale, Kisii's comparable arts year runs KSh 37,400 fully loaded, though science and agriculture programmes cost more. As a public university Kabianga students access both Universities Fund scholarships and HELB loans; apply at hef.co.ke once KUCCPS places you. ONE THING TO VERIFY BEFORE RELYING ON THAT: one source classifies Kabianga as a 'public-private partnership' while both KUCCPS and KENET list it among public universities. The label is anomalous for a chartered Kenyan university and could in principle affect funding eligibility, so confirm your position. Two practical points: the main campus is RURAL, sharing the Kabianga Complex with a boys' high school, a primary school and a working tea farm, so off-campus accommodation options are limited and university housing matters more here than at urban institutions; and 195 total staff against 7,000-8,000 students implies roughly 38:1 across ALL staff, so the academic-only ratio is higher again — ask about class sizes.
Admissions
- The national minimum for degree entry is a KCSE mean grade of C+, with programme-specific cluster requirements set by KUCCPS.
- Kabianga's own entry requirements and full programme catalogue were not published — contact info@kabianga.ac.ke before ranking your choices.
- Ask about accommodation early. The rural complex setting means limited alternatives nearby.
- Accepts international applicants
