United African University of Tanzania
The United African University of Tanzania (UAUT) is a private Christian university located in Vijibweni ward of Kigamboni District in Dar es Salaam Region of Tanzania. It was founded by the Korea Church Mission and is located in Dar es Salaam.
Programmes
- Bachelor of Business Administration
- Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Information Technology
Tuition
- No UAUT fee figures could be verified. ASK ABOUT KOREAN MISSION OR KOREAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS — this is the most promising unexplored funding route here. UAUT was founded by the Korea Church Mission and both its Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor are Korean nationals, and Korea runs substantial scholarship and development cooperation programmes across Africa. Nothing is confirmed, but it is the first question to ask. Kigamboni sits across the harbour from central Dar es Salaam, reached by the Kigamboni Bridge or ferry — cheaper than the city centre, but budget the crossing and the time. Add the TZS 20,000 annual TCU quality assurance fee.
Admissions
- UAUT ENROLLED 124 STUDENTS IN 2024/25 — THE SMALLEST FIGURE RECORDED AT ANY INSTITUTION IN THIS DIRECTORY, across all three countries. This is a recent, specific figure rather than an aggregator band, so treat it as reliable and understand what it means in practice: very small cohorts, limited programme choice, and heightened sensitivity to funding changes. CONFIRM IN WRITING THAT YOUR INTENDED PROGRAMME WILL ACTUALLY RUN before you commit. At this scale a cohort may not fill.
- DIRECT ENTRY: two ACSEE principal passes at E or above totalling 4.0 points.
- Nothing was established about what UAUT teaches — no faculty, school or programme information could be identified at all. Ask for a full programme list before applying.
- ASK WHO OWNS IT. UAUT lists an affiliation to 'CTSI Company Co., Ltd' alongside a church mission founder. That combination leaves it unclear whether the university is charitably or commercially owned, and the answer bears on how it is funded and governed.
- ASK WHETHER THE KOREAN CONNECTION LEADS ANYWHERE: exchange, articulation or study routes to Korea would be UAUT's most distinctive feature if they exist, and are entirely undocumented.
- Scholarships or financial aid available
