Tuition
- No Riara fee figures could be verified — contact info@riarauniversity.ac.ke or +254 703 038 000. Law programmes at Kenyan private universities sit at the upper end of the range; for comparison, Strathmore's LLB totals roughly KSh 2 million across four years, so budget the FULL degree cost rather than the annual figure. As a private university Riara accesses HELB loans only, not Universities Fund scholarships — a needy student would receive more public support at a public university — and confirm Riara is on the current HELB list. Also establish whether it holds a full CUE charter or operates under a Letter of Interim Authority; the distinction affects the standing of your qualification.
Admissions
- The national minimum for degree entry is a KCSE mean grade of C+. Riara's own requirements were not published — contact info@riarauniversity.ac.ke.
- IF APPLYING TO THE SCHOOL OF LAW: ask for written confirmation of Council of Legal Education recognition. Without it graduates cannot proceed to the Kenya School of Law, which is the gateway to practising as an advocate in Kenya. Riara's law school is confirmed to exist; its CLE recognition was not.
- NOTE WHEN SEARCHING: Riara University and Rongo University both use the abbreviation RU.
- Accepts international applicants
