Tuition
- No MUST fee figures could be verified — contact must@must.ac.tz or +255 25 295 7544. Engineering students should expect WORKSHOP, LABORATORY AND FIELD COSTS beyond tuition; ask what you bear. Add the TZS 20,000 annual TCU quality assurance fee, and note HESLB is a separate OLAMS application with a TZS 30,000 fee — engineering and technology are commonly national priority fields for student financing, so confirm your programme's priority status, as it materially affects funding. Mbeya living costs are well below Dar es Salaam; southern Tanzania is generally cheaper than the coast and capital.
Admissions
- IF YOU HOLD AN ORDINARY DIPLOMA OR NTA LEVEL 6, THIS IS A NATURAL FIT. MUST's technical-college lineage means the equivalent-entry route is likely well used here, and TCU publishes a separate annual admission guidebook specifically for diploma holders.
- DIRECT ENTRY: two ACSEE principal passes at E or above totalling 4.0 points; engineering programmes will specify mathematics and physics.
- IF APPLYING FOR ENGINEERING: ask for written confirmation of Engineers Registration Board recognition, which determines whether you can register to practise.
- MIND THE ABBREVIATION. 'MUST' also denotes Meru University of Science and Technology and Murang'a University of Technology in Kenya. Use the full name or 'MUST Mbeya' when searching or corresponding.
- Check whether your programme is taught at Mbeya or at the Rukwa Campus College — TCU lists them separately, so provision differs.
- Accepts international applicants
