Tuition
- Base tuition was not verified — request the 2025/2026 fee structure on kca@kcau.ac.ke or +254 709 813 800. One charge IS documented and easy to overlook: a KSh 1,500 LABORATORY CHARGE PER SEMESTER (KSh 3,000 a year) applies to BSc Information Technology, Bachelor of Business Information Technology, BSc Applied Computing, BSc Software Development, BSc Business Information Systems and Finance, and also to BA Journalism and Digital Media and BA Film. If you are taking any of those, budget for it on top of tuition. That the media degrees carry a lab charge is itself informative — it indicates real production and studio facilities rather than theory-only teaching. PAYMENT: KCAU accepts bankers cheque or direct bank deposit to its official accounts ONLY — do not hand cash to anyone. As a private university KCAU accesses HELB loans but NOT Universities Fund scholarships, so a needy student would receive more public support at a public institution; confirm KCAU is on the current HELB list. It does accept KUCCPS-placed students, though how government sponsorship works at a private university needs establishing. A lower-cost alternative worth considering: KCAU's professional accountancy route (CPA, ACCA, CIFA) is a cheaper qualification path than a full degree and is the institution's founding strength.
Admissions
- The national minimum for degree entry is a KCSE mean grade of C+. KCAU's own requirements were not published — contact kca@kcau.ac.ke.
- KCAU accepts both KUCCPS-placed and self-sponsored direct applicants.
- Fee payment is by bankers cheque or direct bank deposit only.
- Accepts international applicants
