Tuition
- No TIA fee figures could be verified, though a published structure exists — contact tia@tia.ac.tz or +255 22 285 1035, and ask whether fees differ by campus. TIA'S SEVEN-CAMPUS NETWORK IS THE SINGLE LARGEST COST LEVER AVAILABLE ANYWHERE IN THIS DIRECTORY. The same qualification can be studied in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania's most expensive city, or in Singida, Kigoma or Mtwara, among the cheapest places to study in the country. If your programme runs at more than one campus, comparing total living costs across regions will change your outlay more than any fee negotiation could. ASK ABOUT NBAA EXEMPTIONS TOO — at an accountancy institute, exemptions from National Board of Accountants and Auditors examinations save years and fees on the route to chartered status, and often matter more than the qualification itself. Add the TZS 20,000 annual TCU quality assurance fee.
Admissions
- CHECK WHICH CAMPUS TEACHES YOUR PROGRAMME. TCU lists all SEVEN campuses separately across roughly forty guidebook pages, so provision genuinely differs — you cannot assume a Dar es Salaam programme runs at Kigoma.
- As a public institute, TIA runs the NTA ladder, so there are entry points below degree level and a route upward. Foreign technical qualifications must be validated by NACTVET rather than NECTA.
- DIRECT ENTRY to a degree: two ACSEE principal passes at E or above totalling 4.0 points.
- Ask how supervised practical experience is structured — accountancy registration typically requires it.
- Accepts international applicants
