University of El Oued
Echahid Hamma Lakhdar University is a public university in El Oued, in the south-east of the Algerian Sahara, with legal personality and financial autonomy under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Its campus is at Cité Chott, north of the city. It runs nine faculties plus an annex of the École Normale Supérieure, covering sciences, technology, languages, social sciences, law, economics, Islamic sciences and medicine, with research and doctoral training.
