Université Lumière de Bujumbura (ULBU) was founded in 2000 by the Center for the Production and Distribution of Christian Literature (CEPRODILIC) to provide high-quality scientific, professional, and moral education. The university operates multiple campuses, including Mutanga Nord and Kinindo, and offers a wide range of bachelor's and master's degree programs. ULBU is officially recognized by Burundi's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and emphasizes values such as faith, integrity, and excellence. It has grown to serve over 6,000 students, preparing them to become responsible and competent leaders.
