Established in 2009 by Lambert Mende Omalanga and later integrated into the public higher education system of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lodja (USTL) offers academic programs in various fields. These include medicine, public health, law, political science, psychology, educational sciences, computer science, nursing, and polytechnic studies. The university is officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher and University Education (MINESU).
