Université de Moyen Lualaba
Université de Moyen Lualaba (UML) was founded in 2005 as a private institution to meet the educational needs of the Maniema region. It became a public extension of the University of Kindu in 2008 and was granted full autonomy by ministerial decree in 2010. UML is dedicated to training competent and responsible leaders to drive regional socio-economic development. The university offers diverse programs under the LMD system, including sciences, agronomy, economics, law, and education, and is expanding with its new Kilumazi campus.
