Osun State Polytechnic, Iree was originally established in 1981 as a satellite campus of The Polytechnic, Ibadan. It gained full autonomy as an independent polytechnic in October 1992 under a law signed by the first executive governor of Osun State, Alhaji Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke. The institution is accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and offers a wide range of technical and vocational programs. In addition to its main campus in Iree, it operates a daily part-time program at its Koko campus.
