Established by Ministerial Decree No. 1106 of 2021, the Abourdis branch of Suez University is the first public university branch in the South Sinai Governorate. The branch is designed to support regional development and provide accessible higher education to local students. It initially offers programs across four faculties: Education, Science, Arts, and Commerce, with plans to expand to 17 faculties in future phases.
