Sohag National University is an Egyptian non-profit higher education institution established by Presidential Decree No. 247 of 2025. Located in New Sohag City, the university spans 60 acres and is designed to provide high-quality, modern education that fosters innovation and scientific research. It comprises eight faculties, including Medicine, Pharmacy, Engineering, Computer Science & AI, Health Sciences & Technology, Mass Communication, Science, and Languages & Humanities. The university aims to reduce student migration by offering advanced academic programs locally.
